Resource Consumption Assessment
A structured review of how a site or small portfolio consumes energy, water, materials, and related labour — with a written findings pack and briefing.
Who it is for
Facilities, operations, and procurement leads who need a defensible picture of resource consumption before capital papers, lease talks, or supplier renewals. Typical clients run warehouses, light manufacturing, campuses, or multi-floor commercial tenancies.
Result you receive
A bound findings pack (PDF) dated to the assessment window: boundary map, consumption tables by resource type, observation notes from floor walks, ranked opportunities, and an explicit list of what the evidence cannot yet support. We close with a 60–90 minute briefing for your nominated team.
Included
- Kick-off call to fix sites, resource types, and the decision the pack must serve
- Document request list (invoices, meter exports, stock issues, maintenance logs)
- On-site walk-throughs with shift or plant contacts
- Reconciliation of billed vs metered where both exist
- Draft findings for factual check, then final pack and briefing
Excluded
- Design or installation of new plant
- Continuous remote metering products or software licences
- Regulatory audit certificates (we can note gaps that a certified auditor should address)
- Implementation project management after the briefing
Provider & process
Practitioners from Resource Canvas Core based at our Brisbane office. One lead assessor owns the pack; a second reviewer checks tables and claims before release.
- Boundary — sites, resources, and out-of-scope areas written down.
- Evidence — invoices, meters, logs, and floor observations collected in the agreed window.
- Analysis — consumption concentrated by area, shift, or process where data allows.
- Findings — ranked notes with confidence labels (observed / inferred / incomplete).
- Briefing — walkthrough of the pack; questions recorded for follow-up if needed.
Duration & location
Most single-site assessments finish in 3–6 working days of effort across a 2–3 week calendar window. Multi-building portfolios usually need 7–10 working days. On-site days are scheduled in Queensland first; interstate travel is quoted separately.
Preparation
Nominate a site contact who can open plant rooms and storerooms. Share the last 12 months of utility invoices where available. Flag any hazardous areas or escort rules before the first visit.
Constraints
We do not invent savings percentages without a measurement basis. Where meters are missing, the pack states that plainly and may recommend metering before further claims.
Fees
Starting from AUD 6,800 for a single mid-size site with reasonably complete invoices. Larger footprints, poor data readiness, or interstate travel adjust the fee — see Fees or request a review.
Next step
Request an assessment with site count, resource types of interest, and your decision deadline. We reply within two business days with a proposed window and fee band.
