Industrial construction and steel framework on a work site

Plant-room mornings before spreadsheet afternoons

Why our Brisbane assessors still start resource consumption work in the plant room — even when the invoice folder looks complete.

Complete invoice folders tempt everyone to stay at the desk. Resource Canvas Core still books plant-room time on day one of a flagship assessment whenever access allows.

What the room reveals

Nameplates that never made it into the asset list. Bypass switches taped in the “event” position. Filters that explain a fan’s strange draw better than any tariff discussion. These details do not always change the monthly kWh total, but they change which recommendations deserve ink.

Sequencing the day

Morning: escorted walk with the person who hears the alarms. Midday: photograph and note. Afternoon: invoice and meter reconciliation with those notes open. Reversing that order often means rework when the spreadsheet story collides with a valve left open.

We confirm PPE, escort rules, and shutdown risks the day before. Burnt-ledger aesthetics belong on this website; on site we wear the same boots as everyone else and stay out of live work.
